Just when you thought Traveler's Tales had run out of Lego game ideas, they announce that they'll be recreating the famous Lord of the Rings characters as miniature heroes. In this preview, executive producer Nick Ricks explains how Lego Lord of the Rings will be different from past Lego games. Lego LOTR will feature RPG elements such as a backpack where you keep stored items. The game will also be the first ever to feature actual voices which are dubbed over from the movie.
You'll be able to play as all your favorite characters from the fellowship and other characters of Middle-Earth. Lego LOTR will span across all three movies; in the trailer below, we're given a glimpse of some gameplay from the Mines of Moria, a scene from The Fellowship of the Ring. We can still expect the usual dose of humor that the Lego games are associated with however and the endless coin collecting.
