The paint job does evoke a more futuristic look |
If you're excited for multiplayer mech shooter, Titanfall, you'll be thrilled to hear that a limited edition Titanfall controller will be released on March 11th, the same day as the game itself. It sports a slick paint job that Respawn entertainment lead artist, Joel Emslie says resembles "a piece of military spec hardware transported from the universe of Titanfall." It is specifically meant to resemble a C-101 carbine, (which is stenciled on the right) a rifle favored by mech pilots.
There currently is no set price for the controller. Some reports say $59.99 while others suggest a price of $64.99. I suppose it would make sense with this being Microsoft and all for them to charge five extra dollars for a controller that doesn't include any rechargeable battery pack but then again, that five dollars gets you a sleek paint job on the first ever limited edition Xbox One controller. What do you think? Is the controller worth it or are you fine just playing with plain old black controllers? Also, did this controller make anyone think of paint jobs you might see on a star fighter in Star Wars?
